For best results, first remove all debris, grass and weeds from the planting area. If needed, spray a herbicide to kill any weeds or grasses that spread by means of rhizomes. Next, rake the area until it is smooth, and then begin planting. Lay the landscape fabric and secure it with SYNOVA Sod Staples. To avoid degradation over time, cover it with rock, mulch or another topical covering.

All SYNOVA landscape fabrics provide some UV protection. Our product line ranges from one season to 10+ years of protection. We recommend that all of our landscape fabrics be covered with a topical covering (mulch, rock, stone, etc.) to aid in UV blockage.

Yes, all SYNOVA landscape fabrics can be used in gardens. The best and most durable fabrics for garden applications are our line of woven fabrics.

No, all SYNOVA landscape fabrics are permeable to allow nutrients, fertilizer, air and water to pass through.

SYNOVA HDPE (high density polyethylene) shade nettings resist most horticulture chemicals, sprays and detergents.

No, because of the durable, lockstitch-knitted design, the nettings resist ripping, tearing, fraying and unraveling.

Depending on the time of the year, a custom-ordered shade panel lead time can range from one to three weeks.

All SYNOVA crop protection fabrics have ultraviolet inhibitors added to maximize their functional life. Many growers and users can get multiple seasons out of the material if properly stored and maintained.
